The short version: reading this site sends us nothing, and the forms send us only what you type.
Reading the site
There is no analytics script, no tracking pixel, no advertising network code and no social media embed on any page. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, to serve and secure the site.
The forms
The tips, corrections and advertising forms send us exactly the fields you fill in. For tips and corrections, name and email are optional by design: source protection starts with not requiring identity. What you submit is stored securely, is used only to assess and follow up the submission, and is never published, sold or shared. If you leave an email we use it only to reply about your submission.
Attachments
Files attached to a tip or correction are stored privately, are readable only by the people and systems that triage the inbox, and are automatically deleted after 30 days. Attachment links are never published.
Corrections log
When a correction changes a page we publish a dated note of what changed. The note never includes who asked, unless you explicitly request attribution.
